Since Friday, February 23rd at 9:00 pm, water towers have been filling with treated water from the city’s water plant. Water is tested for quality prior to pumping into water lines and towers. However, since pressure was lost in lines, TCEQ mandates samples be taken throughout the water system and delivered to Tyler for testing to be reported to the TCEQ. State offices closed Friday at 5:30 pm and will not open until Monday morning. Samples will be delivered as soon as possible Monday. Until we receive final word from the tests, the Boil Water Notice cannot be lifted. It could be Tuesday before the results are received. Updates will be made on the City’s Facebook Page, on the city’s website at www.willspointtx.org, and e-mails will be sent as soon as the Boil Water Notice is rescinded.
